IMDB rating: 6.70 Plot: The US Coast Guard version of “Top Gun” with a little “An Officer and A Gentleman” thrown in: an aging USCG rescue swimmer’s team is killed in a horrific rescue mission. Immediately prior to this terrible event, his wife also announced that she cannot take anymore. His first love is always the rescue mission. This leaves him an obviously emotional wreck. His commender gives him a choice – quit or take a position as an instructor at the USCG training facility in Louisiana. Reluctantly he takes the position. Moving into the school, he immediately increases the 18 week curriculum that routinely fails half of the people that attend. Here he meets a young man with unlimited potential, but with some secret that seems to hold him back as a team player. Delving into his past, links are found that make him a psychic twin to the older man. Thrown into the midst of the story is a romance with a local girl. Rescue missions punctuate the beginning and end of the story with the training sessions the center of the film. |

I Want To Adopt My Half Sister From My Ex-Step Mom?
at the moment i am 16 and my boyfriend is 19. we have been together for 2 and a half years and i know i want to be able to take care of a child, but i do not want to get pregnate this early in life and my boyfriend agreed to wait until after marriage. My ex step mom has most of the custody of my little sister, Amanda ( 6years old). after i turn 18 and get settled in my own life, what are the steps i can take to become the legal guardian of my little sister? My step mom can not support herself let alone Amanda and to help out the family of 5 that they are living with. I also need help on how to bring this up to my dad (Amandas dad too)… Any helpful suggestions?
Maybe ask after your 18, and have enough like money, a steady job, etc, and are ready to support a child. You could ask your stepmother nicely, and say something like, i don’t want to have a child this early, childbirth hurts lol, and your half sister is nice, etc, but i don’t know how that would go over, if it is her child. My stepmom would have a spaz, and say no lol.
